Postapocaliptic Oxxo

This project was done in collaboration with visual artist Juan Ponce. Using 3D camera tracking in Cinema 4D a video sequence was analyzed to extract camera motion and 3D scene data. This data was then used in Unreal engine to give the camera motion a more realistic POV feeling.

It is a part of a video series, an unsettling narrative unfolds as Mexico City's neglected plumbing leaks manifest in a haunting manner. The water that should have been conserved instead seeps to the surface, serving as a stark reminder of the opportunities squandered and the dire consequences of neglect. This eerie manifestation underscores the failure of political leaders to address the pervasive issue of leaky plumbing, resulting in a staggering 40% loss of precious water resources. It's a chilling portrayal of how negligence and short-sightedness can lead to irreversible environmental repercussions, emphasizing the urgent need for proactive and responsible governance in safeguarding our water future.
