Project type

Live music for performance

Date

May 2025

Location

MUAC, Mexico City

Presented at the Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) as part of UNAM’s Festival El Aleph — an annual event exploring the relationship between art and science — this performance was developed in collaboration with movement director Ana Zambrano and the juvenile dance company (DAJU). Interpreting the festival’s 2024 theme, Nets, the choreography approached networks as fluid, human connections. The dancers began soaked in water, moving collectively as if forming a single shifting body of liquid.

The music, composed specifically for the piece, responded to these concepts through immersive ambient textures, live voice, and theremin improvisation. Designed to evoke a sensorial cave-like space, the sound helped envelop performers and audience in a shared, meditative environment.
